Strobe Game Fishing Lures

Coming Soon! Strobe is the flashing game lure innovation that gets more strikes.

Strobe lures are engineered for serious game fishermen targeting marlin, tuna, and other pelagic species. Each lure features integrated STROBE light technology designed to replicate the light reflected off a stressed or fleeing baitfish. These flashes penetrate deep and wide through the water column, raising fish and triggering aggressive strike behavior.

Across two full seasons of professional charter fishing, Strobe lures have consistently delivered up to twice the strike rate of comparable skirted lures without strobe technology.

Why Strobe Lures Catch More Fish

Predatory fish are highly visual hunters. The STROBE light embedded in every Strobe lure emits flashes that mimic reflective baitfish and natural bioluminescence cues. These signals are visible at depth, in low light, and across wide distances, drawing fish into the spread long before they would normally react to a standard lure.

By combining proven head shapes with flashing light stimulation, Strobe lures excite fish and activate multiple strike triggers at once; visibility, movement, and urgency. This results in more raised fish, more strikes, more committed bites, more hookups and more landed fish.

When to Use a Strobe Lure

Strobe lures have proven effective in all trolling conditions where conventional game lures are used.

  • Bright, high-sun conditions
  • Overcast or low-light days
  • Dawn and dusk bite windows

Anglers are also experimenting with Strobe lures during hours of darkness. While early results are promising, this application has not yet been fully tested across extended seasons.

Proven Results on the Water

During hundreds of hours of on-water testing throughout the 2024 and 2025 seasons, legendary charter skipper Captain Steve Campbell, author of Blue Marlin Magic, recorded exceptional strike-rate improvements when running Strobe lures.

Over 20 years of statistics have shown that Steve’s Port Long Rigger position accounted for 28% of strikes on average. When a Strobe lure was introduced into this position, strike rates surged to an extraordinary 58% of total strikes for the season.

The shotgun position also demonstrated significantly increased effectiveness when fitted with a Strobe lure. Several head shapes in the Strobe range are also highly effective when run as teasers or on the short corner.

How to Choose the Right Strobe Head Shape

Each Strobe lure head shape is tuned for specific sea conditions, lure positions, and target species.

Blinky and Cyborg
Longer head profiles with moderate angles. These lures perform exceptionally well in rough conditions without blowing out and act as versatile all-rounders in calm seas. They pop to the surface and “breathe” every 5–10 seconds, depending on troll speed.

Dr Spok
A concave cup face that tracks straight and produces long, consistent smoke trails. Highly effective in rough or confused water.

R2
A round head design that runs deeper in the water column. Favored by anglers targeting large tuna species.

Death Star
The heaviest lure in the range. Designed to run deep with an aggressive, erratic action. Ideal for short corner placement or teaser use.

Featured Lure: Blinky

The Strobe Blinky is currently the standout performer in the Strobe lure spread. Its versatility and consistent results made it the primary head shape used by Captain Steve Campbell during two full seasons of charter fishing in Vava’u, Tonga.
